Cheryle J.'s Story
Cheryle J. (Walker) Crockett here to say hello out there to the class of 1963.
Since leaving from Harry Ells High School, about a half century ago, I'm now living in a small farm community called Dunnigan. I retired to this area September of 1997.

Richmond provided me a place of employment at the International Harvester Company, which was located on old South 14th street. It is now called Marina Way South. I spent 33 years travelling up and down that street, but...Expand for more
I loved it. Working there was a great experience for me. I learned alot about myself and others.
Since retirement, I've written a remarkable story about my ancestry. It seems I was destined to uncover this story. The title of my book is My Slade Phenomenon. It is just one of our family surnames. What a shock I encountered researching my family lineage. You can read more about it on line. Believe it or not my book is cataloged at the Library of Congress and the New York Public library.
I did attend my first, first, first school reunion last year. Couldn't tell anyone what took me so long.
I hope to hear more for the class of 1963 soon.
